Microsoft have previously boasted about the Virtual WiFi capability in Windows 7 but for whatever reason it never made it to the release version.

Luckily for us though Microsoft had left enough of the code available for Nomadio to exploit into a full fledged feature called Connectify.

The application is free to download and in should allow you to wirelessly tether a number of devices to your laptop at location where only an Ethernet jack is available.
