Looking at reducing the reliance on PC manufacturing Michael Dell has announced the takeover of Perot Systems for a princely sum of $3.9 billion.

Perot Systems is an information technology services provider based in Plano, Texas that primarily serves clients in healthcare, government, manufacturing, banking, and insurance.

Michael Dell has also announced that he is interested in taking over other companies especially if they are related to the health-care industry.

Michael Dell is hoping that the combined company stands to benefit from a U.S. economic stimulus package that will pour about $20 billion into health-care information technology.
