Alienware 13 – Could This be the Greatest Gaming Laptop Ever?
Dell has brought back its gaming laptop with the announcement of the Alienware 13. The note book is the thinnest laptop that’s ever been made and weighs in at just under 4.5lbs and is just an inch thick, which is pretty impressive for a gaming laptop that has a lot running under the hood. This beauty features an Intel Core I processor, up to 16GB DDR3 RAM, it supports up to two SSDs, an NVIDIA 860m GTZ and includes 802.11ac.But probably the most impressive feature of the Alienware 13 is the inclusion of a graphics amplifier which is able to house a desktop sized graphics card which allows the Alienware 13 to run off of that instead of the NVIDIA 860m GTX, which is already included. The graphics card keeps things pretty simple, it houses up to 375W graphics cards, a fan and a power supply. It has an additional 4 USB ports.
When it comes to the battery it’s pretty impressive for a gaming laptop, you’re able to get anywhere between 6 hours and 8 hours, depending on what you do – making it Dell’s longest lasting product, ever. To top it off this device has 3 USB 3.0 ports, which feature PowerShare. 1 mini-display port, and 1 HDMI 1.4 port.
Considering just how big the Alienware’s fleet of gaming laptops have been in the past it’s a nice refresher to see it in a notebook size offering. One of it’s most impressive features has got to be the size and weigh of the device, particularly if you’re aware of Dells other gaming laptop offers, they’re not very light, trust us. This device is actually at a size and weight that you could carry it around it your bag, every day, hassle free. The Alienware 13 takes PC gaming in a completely different direction to previous models, it gives you a powerful graphics accelerator and a stunning display, it’s certainly one not be missed.
